In addition to the qualifications provided by the awarding bodies above, we also offer Vortex-branded training courses. Since 1992, NPORS has been a leader in training and accreditation, supporting industries such as construction, Utilities, manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and more. With a commitment to upholding high standards, NPORS partners with industry professionals and accredited providers to offer comprehensive training solutions. As a trusted NPORS-approved provider, Vortex Training Group delivers assessments across the UK, ensuring all programs adhere to NPORS standards and undergo ongoing quality checks.
The NPORS Traditional Card is for people working in industries outside of construction. Since these sectors don’t require the CSCS logo, this card doesn’t have it. However, the standards and process to earn it are the same as the NPORS/CSCS card.
You can choose either a 3-year or 5-year registration for this card, depending on your industry or company needs.
If you’re working in construction, you should apply for the NPORS/CSCS card instead.
The NPORS CSCS Card is for plant operators in the construction industry. It meets the standards set by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and shows the CSCS logo.
To get the card, you need to complete the required training with an NPORS instructor and pass the health, safety, and environmental touch screen test (NPORS or CITB) within the last two years.
There are different types of NPORS CSCS cards based on your role.
The NPORS Trained Operator Card is for operators who don’t yet have the required (S)NVQ. This card is valid for two years, during which time the operator must complete and achieve the (S)NVQ.
The NPORS Competent Operator Card is for operators who have successfully completed the required (S)NVQ. This card is valid for five years and comes with a CPD record and an operator logbook.
The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) has been a trusted provider of training and accreditation for the energy and utilities sectors. Supporting industries such as gas, power, water, waste management, and utility excavations, EUSR ensures a skilled and compliant workforce. As an approved EUSR provider, Vortex Training Group offers accredited training and assessments across the UK, helping employers and individuals meet industry standards through ongoing quality checks.
Qualsafe is one of the UK’s largest Ofqual-recognised awarding organisations, known for delivering high-quality qualifications in fire safety and first aid. As an approved Qualsafe provider, Vortex Training Group offers accredited fire safety training to help employers meet industry standards and ensure their workforce is properly trained.

CABWI Awarding Body, established in 1991, is one of the UK’s leading awarding organisations for the water and utilities industries, offering vocational qualifications and health and safety training. As an approved CABWI provider, Vortex Training Group delivers accredited courses in Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels, helping individuals and employers meet industry standards.
