Course Objectives
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and the responsibilities of the Employer, Employee and Self-employed
- Have a basic understanding of Emergency procedures- First aid and Fire, Health Risks and welfare. Work at height, P.P.E
- Have a basic understanding of Hazardous substances and environmental waste protection and control, manual handling, electrical safety, hand tools and equipment
- Have a basic understanding of the effects that noise, vibration and site transport have on individuals and the environment
- Have a basic understanding of Excavations, Inspections, transport safety
Entry Requirements
Experience
No previous qualifications are required, although site industry experience or practical experience in site safety management is useful.
Age Requirement
Participants must be at least 16 years old.
Language Proficiency
A good understanding of both spoken and written English is required to ensure safety and successful participation in assessments.
Course assessment
Theoretical Assessment
A written test covering key safety practices, regulations, and techniques for maintaining site safety, hazard identification, and safe working practices.
Upon successful completion, you will receive NPORS certification, validating your competency in site safety awareness.
