Material Re- Handler – N722
We offer two NPORS Material Re-Handler (N722) training options for businesses in construction, logistics, and utilities:
Experienced Worker Test
For experienced operators, this test allows your team to demonstrate their skills and earn NPORS certification, validating their expertise in material re-handler operation, site safety, and task handling.
Novice Course
For upskilling, this course provides essential training on safe operation and machine control. Upon completion, they’ll receive NPORS certification, ensuring safe and efficient operation within your business.

Course Objectives
It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a plant operator
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used
- Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions
- Be able to locate and identify steering, driving and braking controls and explain their functions
- Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements
- Safely mount and dismount the machine
- Start and stop the engine and safely move the machine off and stop it safely
- Configure the machine for travel and manoeuvre it safely across varying terrain in open and confined areas
- Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area
- Manoeuvre the machine to the work area and correctly configure in readiness to carry out processing tasks
- Carry out processing task
- Load material onto transporting vehicles, containers or processing plant
- Fit and remove attachments
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transportation
- Carry out all end of shift and shut down procedures
Entry Requirements
Previous Qualification
Candidates must have successfully completed the relevant Material Re-Handler training or possess equivalent experience and knowledge in operating the machine.
Experience
A minimum of 3 months practical experience operating the material re-handler is recommended.
Age Requirement
All participants must be at least 16 years old.
Language Proficiency
A good understanding of English, both spoken and written, is required to ensure safety and successful participation in assessments.
Course assessment
Theoretical Assessment
A written test covering key safety practices, material re-handler operation, and maintenance.
Practical Assessment
A hands-on test where you demonstrate your ability to safely operate the material re-handler in various scenarios.
Experienced Worker Test (Test Only)
For experienced workers, the assessment focuses on validating your existing skills in material re-handler operation.
Upon successful completion, you will receive NPORS certification, validating your competency in material re-handler operation.
