We offer two NPORS Quick Hitch Awareness N726 training options for businesses in construction, logistics, and utilities:
Experienced Worker Test
For experienced workers, this test allows your team to demonstrate their skills and earn NPORS certification, validating their expertise in quick hitch operation, site safety, and task handling.
Novice Course
For upskilling, this course provides essential training on safe quick hitch operation and control. Upon completion, they’ll receive NPORS certification, ensuring safe and efficient operation within your business.

Course Objectives
It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a plant operator
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular Quick Hitch to be used
- Be able to locate and identify the major components of the Quick Hitch and explain their functions
- Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for Quick Hitch use
- Be able to explain the different types of Quick hitch devices
- Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements
- Conduct all necessary safety checks at the designated change over area
- Fit and remove attachments safely and efficiently
- Demonstrate and explain checks for attachment security
- Carry out all end of shift and shut down procedures
Entry Requirements
Previous Qualification
Candidates must have successfully completed the relevant Quick Hitch Awareness training or possess equivalent experience and knowledge in using quick hitches.
Experience
A minimum of 3 months practical experience in using quick hitches is recommended.
Age Requirement
All participants must be at least 16 years old.
Language Proficiency
A good understanding of English, both spoken and written, is required to ensure safety and successful participation in assessments.
Course assessment
Theoretical Assessment
A written test covering key safety practices, quick hitch operation, and maintenance.
Practical Assessment
A hands-on test where you demonstrate your ability to safely use the quick hitch in various scenarios.
Experienced Worker Test (Test Only)
For experienced workers, the assessment focuses on validating your existing skills in quick hitch operation.
Upon successful completion, you will receive NPORS certification, validating your competency in quick hitch operation.
