All-Terrain Vehicles – Multi Drive (N608c)
We offer two NPORS ATV training options for businesses and individuals:
- Experienced Worker Test
For experienced operators, demonstrate your skills and earn NPORS certification. The test covers safe operation, vehicle handling, and maintenance, making it ideal for businesses certifying their workforce or individual candidates seeking professional recognition. - Novice Course
For beginners, this course provides training on safe operation, vehicle care, and industry best practices, with NPORS certification upon completion.

Course Objectives
It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as an operator
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used
- Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions
- Be able to locate and identify key controls and explain their functions
- Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements
- Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for all-terrain vehicle use
- Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area
- Prepare the all-terrain vehicle for use and operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Attach and set trailer implements ready for operation
- Environmental considerations
- Storage and transport of implements and attachments
- Load and unload from a transport vehicle or trailer correctly
- Carry out all end of shift and shut down procedures
Entry Requirements
- Previous Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed the All-Terrain Vehicles course or possess equivalent experience and knowledge in operating all-terrain vehicles.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months practical experience operating all-terrain vehicles is recommended.
- Age Requirement: All participants must be at least 18 years old.
- Language Proficiency: A good understanding of English, both spoken and written, is required to ensure safety and successful participation in assessments.
Course assessment
The assessment for this course includes both theoretical and practical components:
- Theoretical Assessment: A written test covering key safety practices, all-terrain vehicle operation, and maintenance.
- Practical Assessment: A hands-on test where you demonstrate your ability to operate the ATV safely and effectively in various scenarios.
- Experienced Worker Test (Test Only): For experienced workers, the assessment focuses on validating your existing skills in ATV operation.
Upon successful completion, you will receive NPORS certification, validating your competency in all-terrain vehicle operation.
